Terms of Service
Effective June 3, 2026

Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of Venire, a social calendar app developed and operated by Jacob Hermann ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Venire. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow accounts for users under 17. If we learn that a user is under 17, we will terminate their account.

Venire is currently available in the United States only.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your account with others. Notify us immediately at the address below if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may only create one account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade a ban or suspension is prohibited.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Venire — events, RSVPs, messages, and profile information. By posting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute it to other users in accordance with your chosen visibility settings.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not pre-screen content, but we reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Venire to:

  • Post content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or abusive
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Spam other users with unsolicited messages or event invites
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the app through automated means
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or to our systems
  • Use the app for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others

We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation of these rules and to take action accordingly, including removing content and terminating accounts.

Reporting Objectionable Content

If you encounter content or a user you believe violates these terms, you can report it directly in the app from the user's profile. Reports are reviewed by us and may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.

You can also block any user to prevent them from seeing your content and to remove their content from your feed. Blocking is immediate.

Abuse of the reporting or blocking features — for example, coordinated mass-reporting of a user in bad faith — is itself a violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property

The Venire app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Jacob Hermann. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

Privacy

Your use of Venire is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Disclaimers

Venire is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-generated content.

We are not responsible for any events created on the platform, including their accuracy, safety, or whether they actually take place.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacob Hermann shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Venire. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine you have violated these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Venire after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
